Project Title

Emerging Brand Strategy

Overview

London Fashion Week is globally recognised as one of the most influential fashion platforms, known for championing creativity, innovation, and emerging talent.

We were engaged to support a cohort of upcoming fashion brands seeking to be featured at London Fashion Week, focusing on market strategy, positioning, and selection readiness to maximise their chances of acceptance and long-term commercial success.

The objective was not just to secure visibility at LFW, but to ensure emerging brands were strategically prepared for global exposure, buyer engagement, and media relevance.

The Project

The Challenge

Emerging brands face significant barriers when entering a platform like London Fashion Week:

  • High competition for limited showcase slots

  • Need for strong narrative clarity and brand differentiation

  • Balancing creativity with commercial viability

  • Aligning collections with international trend cycles

  • Demonstrating buyer readiness and scalability

  • Building credibility within global fashion ecosystems

Design talent alone was not enough. Strategic positioning and market readiness were essential.

Our Approach

We implemented a structured Emerging Brand Readiness & Market Positioning Framework tailored specifically for London Fashion Week standards.

1. Market & Trend Intelligence

We analysed:

  • LFW audience expectations including buyers, editors, stylists, and influencers

  • Current runway gaps and opportunity segments

  • High-growth categories such as sustainable fashion, gender-fluid design, and heritage-modern fusion

  • Buyer demand signals across UK, Europe, and USA markets

This insight informed brand selection criteria and positioning strategy.

2. Brand Curation & Selection Framework

We developed a structured evaluation model based on:

  • Creative differentiation and unique design language

  • Cultural narrative and storytelling depth

  • Commercial viability and retail readiness

  • Production scalability

  • Digital presence and press readiness

Brands were positioned into strategic cohorts:

  • Emerging Innovators with experimental aesthetics

  • Purpose-Driven Designers focused on sustainability

  • Contemporary Luxury Labels blending heritage and modern tailoring

This ensured alignment with LFW’s creative ethos while maintaining commercial appeal.

3. Narrative & Collection Refinement

We worked with brands to refine:

  • Core brand story for Western and global fashion audiences

  • Collection themes aligned with LFW seasonal direction

  • Press-friendly messaging and elevator positioning

  • Buyer-facing value propositions

  • Lookbook and presentation strategy

This strengthened each brand’s positioning beyond aesthetics, articulating why they belonged on the LFW platform.

4. Commercial & Buyer Readiness

To ensure post-show traction, we supported:

  • Wholesale pricing alignment

  • Line sheet optimisation

  • Margin and production planning

  • Trade pitch preparation

  • Retail targeting strategy

This ensured brands were prepared not only for runway visibility but for actual commercial conversion.

5. Digital & Social Strategy for Amplification

We developed digital acceleration frameworks to maximise LFW exposure:

  • Short-form video runway teasers

  • Behind-the-scenes storytelling

  • Influencer seeding strategy

  • Press kit optimisation

  • Paid amplification blueprint for collection drops

The goal was to convert runway attention into sustained audience growth.
