Project Title
Venture Architecture & Content-Commerce Marketplace Launch
Overview
OfPoison was conceived to solve one of the most significant inefficiencies in modern e-commerce: the disconnect between content and transaction.
Consumers research extensively before purchasing, yet discovery, validation, and checkout remain fragmented across multiple platforms. At the same time, SME vendors face barriers to global online growth due to limited marketing infrastructure, high acquisition costs, and logistical constraints.
The objective was to architect and launch OfPoison as a scalable, investor-ready marketplace built around a differentiated “Read Now, Buy Now” content-commerce model.

The Project
The Challenge
E-commerce friction results in abandoned carts, decision fatigue, and reduced vendor visibility.
OfPoison needed to:
Define a new category merging editorial authority with transactional convenience
Build a dual-sided marketplace balancing consumer trust and vendor exposure
Establish investor-ready commercial foundations
Develop a scalable multi-category expansion model
Create defensible positioning beyond traditional marketplaces
The goal was not to launch another online store — but to build a behaviour-driven commerce engine.
Strategic Direction
We acted as full strategic launch partner, delivering:
Category definition and positioning strategy
Marketplace architecture and monetisation framework
Investor narrative and commercial modelling
Go-to-market roadmap
Vendor acquisition strategy
Scalable expansion blueprint
Every layer was structured with long-term defensibility and revenue scalability in mind.
Product & Positioning Architecture
Category Definition
We positioned OfPoison as a smart marketplace merging editorial content and commerce through a seamless content-to-checkout experience.
Core differentiation included:
Real-time behavioural analytics
Editorial content aligned with product discovery
Frictionless in-platform purchasing
Reduced buyer hesitation and increased confidence
Education-backed vendor exposure
OfPoison was structured as a commerce intelligence platform, not simply a listing marketplace.
Consumer Model
The platform mirrored user behaviour across brand, price point, and category preferences. Editorial reinforcement supported validation prior to checkout, increasing conversion confidence and retention.
Vendor Infrastructure
We designed a vendor ecosystem providing:
Global market access
Marketing and analytics tools
Structured product visibility
Logistics support pathways
Performance-driven placement opportunities
This created value on both sides of the marketplace.
Go-to-Market Strategy
Phase One: Fashion Vertical Launch
Fashion was selected for launch due to high editorial engagement and comparison behaviour. This allowed early validation of the content-commerce model within a high-interest category.
Pre-Launch Foundation
We executed:
Market and competitor validation
Financial modelling and projection frameworks
Investor pitch deck development
Landing page and early access funnel
Vendor onboarding systems
Content partnership planning
Post-Launch Scaling
Growth execution included:
Digital acquisition campaigns
Influencer and editorial collaboration
Vendor incentive frameworks
Marketplace liquidity balancing
Performance optimisation loops
Supply and demand were developed simultaneously to ensure platform equilibrium.
Revenue & Commercial Model
We structured diversified monetisation streams including:
Transaction commissions
Sponsored content and premium placement
Vendor analytics subscriptions
Performance-based promotional upgrades
Future digital product integrations
This ensured revenue resilience beyond transaction margins.
Scalability Architecture
Although launched in fashion, OfPoison was built for expansion into:
Beauty and lifestyle
Wellness and health
Digital services
Subscription products
Education and information commerce
The behavioural commerce framework was category agnostic and globally scalable.
The Results
The venture build delivered:
Clear category differentiation within e-commerce
Investor-ready commercial modelling and pitch materials
Structured dual-sided marketplace framework
Vendor acquisition and onboarding architecture
Scalable expansion roadmap
Defined CAC, LTV, and unit economics foundations
The platform transitioned from concept to structured commerce ecosystem with long-term growth logic embedded at its core.
The Impact
OfPoison emerged as a next-generation content-commerce marketplace designed to reduce decision friction and empower SME vendors.
By aligning behavioural analytics, editorial reinforcement, monetisation modelling, and scalable infrastructure, the platform established a foundation capable of supporting multi-category global expansion.
The result was not simply a marketplace launch — but the architecture of a defensible commerce intelligence venture.
